Ledger's First Easter

Ledger just turned 9 months old and had his first Easter. We started the day by going to Church and then we went the the McCartney's house for a yummy BBQ (the burgers were GREAT Pat) and lots of fun with the family. The Keelings, McJunkins, McCartneys, Trenkamps, Bridgeman and Pierce family had a great time playing with the kids, visiting, hiding/hunting for eggs, playing ping-pong, eating and hanging out. The day couldn't have been any better. There is just nothing quite like spending the holidays with the people you love.

First Trip to the Zoo

Yesterday was such an awesome day. We started the day by meeting (Ur)Oma (My Grandmother) at LaBou for some lunch and coffee. It was so nice to spend some time with Oma and see her hold Ledger, her Great Grandson. After lunch and coffee the Pierce family went to the Sacramento Zoo.

Ledger really liked the Flamingos, Black & White Lemurs, Koi Fish, Giraffes, and of course the Zebras. If it moved, was large, and colorful he liked it. Could care less about the birds, sleeping tigers, lazy lions or penguins. They just didn't do enough for him. He would look into the enclosures like, "What the heck are we looking at?" Never the less it was fun to see his reactions to the zoo environment and I liked the great picture opportunities. :)

So today Ledger turned 9 months old. I just can't believe it. We got his 9 months pictures taken. I'll see if I can find a way to get them up here later. He is such a ham. He smiles as soon as he sees a camera (unless he is really tired). I'm thinking that a tooth is FINALLY coming in though because it was so hard to get a picture of him without his hand being in his mouth. Luckily he looks cute even if he has a hand in his mouth.

After pictures we went to visit Grandpa Pierce & Gamellen (Grandma and Ellen put together without really sounding too Grandma like;)). Ledger loved playing with his Gamellen and trying on some new outfits she got for him for summer. I can't wait for him to swim in his new Elmo swim trunks.

Easter is tomorrow, so I am sure that in the next couple of days I will have first Easter pictures. Hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

See, I told you I was bad at this kind of thing. It has already been over a month since I have updated my blog. LAME!! I know.

Things here in the Pierce household have been rather chaotic. Bobby had a hernia surgery last week. He is doing really well now. He still gets a little bit sore and he can’t bend over to pick Ledger up, but other than that he is fine. He has had to be on a liquid diet for the last 10 ish days though. Not fun, but great way to loose some weight. ;) Also last week I got into a car accident. NO, it wasn’t my fault. Now why would you think that?? ;) Actually I got rear ended on the way to the hospital to pick up Bobby. I’m fine. Sore neck and some serious headaches, but it could have been worse.

Ledger on the other hand is doing great. Probably the best of the family right now. A few weeks ago he waved for the first time at Auntie Becke. I was so excited when my Dad told me about it, and boy is it cute! We have also heard him say “Hi” on an occasion. Of course, he doesn’t say “Mama” or “Dada”, but he says “Hi”. I guess I must want it too bad.

His favorite thing to do lately is to walk around the house holding on to someone’s finger. I just can’t believe that he is going to be 9 months in 2 days!!! He is growing out of all of his 12 month clothing, so we have been buying 18 month and even 24 month clothing for him. He is so strong and so funny. Anything makes him laugh. Ledger has also been working on giving loves and sharing. If I ask, “Can Mama have some?” he will lovingly share anything he is chewing/slobbering on. He also likes sharing with Dada, Chip and Little. If I ask him for kisses or loves he smashes his face on my cheek or lips. He is a very affectionate little guy.

We bought a new trailer. It is 27ft. 2001 Mallard. It has an 8 ft. slide out and a queen walk around bed. When we have the slide out out (does that make sense?) there is great floor space. Plenty of room to put Ledger down to roll around and play. Our maiden trip is coming up on Thursday. We are going to Hollister.

Spring break started today! No school until March 31st. I am looking forward to spending some time with family, camping, Easter and taking Ledger to the zoo. If I am really good, I will remember to post some pictures of our camping trip, trip to the zoo and Easter.

Happy Easter to everyone! We hope that you all spend some time with those you love and enjoy the holiday.
