We arrived home safely, only to bring the flu bug home with us!!
It was so awesome seeing Ledger as he woke up Sunday morning. Bobby & I walked into his room together. He was so happy to see Mama and Dada. Sunday night I came down with the flu and due to complications with my blood sugar in combination with the vomiting, I went to the ER and ended up staying for almost 8 hours. It really was the LAST place I wanted to be after only being home for a little over 24 hours. I missed Ledger like crazy still and was in no condition to even spend time with him. It really was the pits. It got much worse though because Ledger got the flu on Tuesday. There is NOTHING worse than seeing your baby be sick and not being able to do anything about it. Ledger just laid in my arms on Tuesday. He was so sick that he didn't talk or move. It was actually frightening because he would only respond to my questions by looking at me. As if that wasn't enough, Bobby got the flu too. We were a mess! Thank God for our family because they helped us out so much. My Dad drove me to the ER at 4 am and took care of Ledger overtime and Cheryl watched Ledge for us over over time although we passed our horrible flu on to her. We are all well now and Ledger is FINALLY keeping solids down after vomiting for almost a full week! He is starting to gain some weight back and it is putting Mama at ease because I was really concerned about him this past week.
I will post some pics and details about our amazing trip sometime this weekend. We are just still trying to catch up on life from last week.

In Ireland
Hi everyone! We are in Dublin having a blast. We have seen so many incredible sights, Dublin Castle, St.Patrick's Cathedral, Trinity College, Guiness factory, Jameson factory, Goal (Jail), etc.. The weather has been great. Chilly but no rain and even sunshine today.
We leave for London in the morning and have to get up at 3:45 am so I should sign off. Missing our baby tons and everyone else at home too.
Cheers!

Dublin & London- Here we come!
So, I really should be packing right now, but I'm avoiding the "joy" of packing until the last minute. We leave around 6:30am on Saturday morning and we will return on the 21st. I'm really looking forward to the trip, but I am growing VERY anxious about the whole thing. It was much easier to leave the country when we didn't have a little guy. He will be with the second best people to his parents, my parents and in laws, so I know he will be fine. It is me I am worried about.
I'll update when we get back. Send warm thoughts our way as it is going to be pretty cold in Ireland and the UK.

Birthday, England, Ireland, and everyday life...
Since Christmas there hasn’t been too much new in our household.
I just celebrated my 27th birthday. My amazing, perfect, wonderful, romantic (yes he is all of these) planned an awesome night for the two of us. I was aware that we were doing something, but I had NO idea it was going to be so memorable.
Bob and I walked out the front door to an awaiting limo. We took off and opened the bottle of champagne that was in the limo. I still had zero idea of where we were going until we got on to highway 50. Then I knew that we were going to Sequoia. (Sequoia is a restaurant in Placerville that is managed by David Bagley who I worked for at Beerman’s and Enotria. Sequoia/Dave also catered Bobby and My wedding. http://www.sequoiaplacerville.com/) The dinner was amazing! Dave treated us so well. I figured that the birthday surprise was the limo and dinner, but Bob also bought me a beautiful star necklace. It was an incredible time and Bob and I had a blast. He truly is my best friend.
Other new news is that Bobby and I are going to Ireland and England! We booked a trip with our good friends Garry and Holly, sans kiddos! I am so nervous about leaving Ledger for a week, but not for him, for me! We leave on Valentine’s Day and come back a week later. We are going to Dublin and we are taking a quick trip to London. I know that it will be amazing and I will update the blog with pictures and details when we get back.
Other than my birthday and our trip The Pierce family has just been doing every day things like making funny foam hair dos in the bath, playing with play-doh, being cute (mostly Ledger and Bobby here) and being silly.
